Drishyam The Conclusion Release Date
Drishyam: The Conclusion will release in cinemas on Friday, October 2, 2026.
The film arrives during the festive period, making the opening weekend particularly important for its theatrical run..
The movie is directed by Abhishek Pathak, who also returns to the franchise after directing Drishyam 2. The screenplay and story have been developed for the Hindi version, with the new film taking the story of Vijay Salgaonkar in a different direction from the earlier installments..
Advance Booking Opens Today
The advance booking window opened on September 27, giving audiences several days to book tickets before the October 2 release.
Early tracking data shows that tickets have already started moving across major cities and cinema chains. Sacnilk's early tracker reported bookings across hundreds of shows, although these figures are live estimates and can change significantly as more theatres and shows are added.
The opening-day booking will continue to change as the release date gets closer, so current numbers should not be treated as final box-office figures..
Ajay Devgn Returns as Vijay Salgaonkar
At the centre of the franchise is Vijay Salgaonkar, played by Ajay Devgn.
The character became widely recognised after the first Drishyam film, where an ordinary family man became involved in an extraordinary situation and used his planning and knowledge of cinema to protect his family..
The Hindi franchise has developed its own audience over the years, with Vijay Salgaonkar becoming one of Ajay Devgn's most recognisable characters.
The third film brings the character back for another chapter, with the story expected to revisit the unanswered questions surrounding the Salgaonkar family..
Who Is in Drishyam: The Conclusion?
The film features several returning members of the franchise along with new additions.
The main cast includes:
- Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar
- Tabu
- Shriya Saran
- Rajat Kapoor
- Ishita Dutta
- Mrunal Jadhav
- Kamlesh Sawant
- Jaideep Ahlawat
- Prakash Raj
- Saurabh Shukla
Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj are among the notable additions to the cast..
Ahlawat's character is expected to bring a new layer to the investigation surrounding Vijay and his family. Director Abhishek Pathak has also revealed that Ahlawat joined the project after an earlier casting plan changed, which led to the character being rewritten specifically around the new casting..
Why Is the Film Called The Conclusion?
The title itself has attracted attention..
The earlier film was commonly referred to as Drishyam 3, but the makers chose the official title Drishyam: The Conclusion..
Director Abhishek Pathak has said that the title was chosen to make it clear that the movie is intended to be the final chapter of the Hindi franchise and to put an end to speculation about another continuation..
This also gives the upcoming film an added narrative significance because audiences will be watching to see how Vijay Salgaonkar's story eventually reaches its conclusion..
The Pav Bhaji Connection Returns
One of the most memorable details associated with the Drishyam franchise is Pav Bhaji.
In the original Hindi film, the Salgaonkars repeatedly referred to eating Pav Bhaji on October 2. The date became one of the most recognisable clues and references from the franchise.
Interestingly, Drishyam: The Conclusion is also releasing on October 2..
The connection has now become part of the film's promotional campaign as well. On September 27, PVR INOX announced an offer in which customers purchasing four tickets for the film can receive a plate of Pav Bhaji at select properties, subject to the offer's terms and conditions..
What Can Audiences Expect?
The makers have kept the major plot details under wraps.
The film is expected to continue the crime, mystery and family-drama elements that define the franchise, while introducing new characters and conflicts.
The presence of Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj has added another layer of curiosity around the investigation..
Importantly, the Hindi film is not simply being positioned as a continuation of the Malayalam franchise's storyline. The Hindi version has developed its own narrative path around Vijay Salgaonkar and his family..
